2006 Christmas Party

 

 

After a successful, profitable first full year in business, what better way to let our hair down and enjoy the fruits of our efforts athan to have a PARTY?  Several team members and their significant others gathered at Marquette's Global Headquarters (a.k.a., The Bunker) in Ludington for a train ride to Baldwin and back.  A few of the participants riding in our caboose, expertly renovated by Wayne Dault and his family, complained of a rough ride, although this certainly had less to do with Wayne's workmanship than it did with the engineer's skill level.  (For the record, the student engineer on this trip was our CEO, Kevin Ruble who learned a lot about handling short, light trains under the expert tutelage of engineer Dault.  Unfortunately, the participants in the caboose learned a lot about what it feels like to be a ping-pong ball).

Later that evening, we gathered at the home of Rick and Shawnda Jany, first for a brief team huddle where we reviewed the latest financial results, after which we headed upstairs for some fun.   Enjoy these pictures of our team of Champion Railroaders celebrating the end of a great first year.  (Click on the first photo for a large-format slide show).
